Inspiring young people to Discover their Passion.

GHGT is a not for profit organization that desires to improve the lives of young people residing in Hamilton’s underserved areas. We achieve this by inspiring them to discover their unique passion and empower them with the self-confidence to reach their potential.

GHGT provides workshop based comprehensive youth development programs in: Technology, Arts, Skilled Trades, Academic Skills, and Recreation.

By cultivating strong relationships between youth and positive role models and emphasizing problem-based learning these young people will develop a critical capacity. This will give rise to positive self-esteem and a growth in confidence empowering them to achieve their potential. Inspired young people inspire their community.

The Rain Barrel Project

What is a Rain Barrel?

Rain Barrels makes water, that would normally runoff into storm water drains, available to us on days when rain is not in the forecast.
Capturing rain is good for the environment. For example rain barrels, lower home water use, lessen flooding in basements or backyards,
and keeps green spaces we create healthy and alive. Water catchment is happening in nature all the time. Rain barrels reproduces catchment processes and increases the amount of water available to us.
